The Eco Has Landed!

Under the changing climate, everyone is wondering how they can do their bit and eager to do so - us included! To start, we've just brought two new ranges onboard, Eco Velvet and Oxford.

Eco-Velvet is our first 100% recycled pile velvet. Knitted from yarns extruded from post-consumer PET bottles, Eco-Velvet repurposes thousands of plastic bottles bound for our oceans or a life in landfill. Each metre of Eco-Velvet reuses circa 30 x 550ml bottles. Through this - by using recycled rather than virgin polyester - not only are carbon emissions reduced by approximately 75%, energy consumption and water usage are reduced by up to 70% and 80% respectively. This innovative cycle offers a unique, environmentally conscious approach to fabric production and a new way of thinking in the world of textiles – with no compromise on performance.

Eco Velvet

Eco-Velvet’s high-performance attributes include a Martindale of 60,000+ revs, lightfastness of 5 and further physical testing to Severe Contract specifications. FR compliance is also achieved through a clever naturally FR modacrylic-blend backing, without the requirement for additional FR chemical treatment.

A highly breathable, super-soft microfiber knit velvet, Eco-Velvet benefits from an easy-clean finish - giving Eco-Velvet liquid repellence properties. As such, stains can be easily spot cleaned with a warm water and mild household soap solution.


Oxford is a 100% recycled cotton, woven from pre-consumer waste saved from landfill. This washable, brushed natural fibre cloth is available in 38 colours - ideal for curtains, as well as loose and fixed covers - and achieves FR compliance with a halogen-free back coating.

Oxford also benefits from a green EasyClean finish, achieved through a unique breathable ‘EcoElite’ TM coating – the first plant-based repellent developed for the textile industry. Its high-performance attributes include non-fluorinated water and water-based stain repellence, along with prolonged washability for 30 or more washes.
